PNGCS MEMBERSHIP QUALIFICATIONS

A person is qualified to be a member of the Society if the person is a natural person:

a.  has been nominated for membership of the Society as provided by Rule 5; and

b. as been approved for membership of the Society by the committee of the Society.

4.1       Membership Category and qualifications requirement

4.1.1    Student Membership (SPNGCS)

Student membership is available for those who are currently pursuing information technology course in a recognized institution.

4.1.2    Provisional Associate (APNGCS Prov.)

To be eligible for admission as a provisional Associate, a person must have completed a diploma level course in a recognized institute or university.

4.1.3   Associate (APNGCS)

To be eligible for admission as an Associate, a person must:

    1. Have completed a diploma level course
    2. Have at least 2 years practical experience in information technology field.

4.1.4    Provisional Member (MPNGCS Prov.)

To be eligible for admission as a provisional member, a person must have a bachelor’s degree in information system or technology

4.1.5    Member (MPNGCS)

To be eligible for admission as a member, a person must:

    1. Have completed a bachelor’s degree in information system or technology
    2. Have minimum two years practical experience in Information Technology
      or be a full member of an overseas computer society.

4.1.6    Fellow (FPNGCS)

To be eligible for admission as a fellow, a person must:

    1. have a full membership
    2. have minimum 10 years practical experience as a full member in information technology field or
    3. be a fellow member of an overseas computer society.

4.1.7   Honorary Fellow (FPNGCS)

To be eligible for admission as an honorary fellow, a person must:

    1. be a well respected person by the business community
    2. have made remarkable contribution towards Information Communication  Technology development or education.
